Why you need SSL

The internet has expanded through the years, and SSL Certificate use has too.

Many think SSL certificates are only for eCommerce sites. That is a false notion. While it does provide protection for credit card information, SSL certificates have other important benefits.

HTTPS denotes that a website has SSL (secure socket layer) which protects all information between a website and its visitors. But also, beginning in 2018 Google flagged website that do not have SSL

When visitors come to your website address, if you don’t have SSL the first thing they see on their first visit is warning: NOT SECURE.

This may prevent a visitor from even seeing your website.
